Michael Woolrich
Director
AlphaDebt Advisory has been established by Michael.
Michael has over 30 years of both banking and debt advisory experience, here in Australia and also in the U.S. Michael spent the first 25 years of his corporate career with the National Australia Bank Limited (‘NAB’) holding various positions, mainly in the bank’s Corporate & Institutional Banking division, looking after a collection of both publicly-listed and privately owned companies.
After leaving NAB in late 2017, Michael joined the debt & capital advisory team at PwC. Following a 5.5-year stint with PwC, Michael has now established his own debt advisory practice.
Michael is well-known and well-regarded within Australian banking circles and has spent a career in banking and debt advisory servicing the banking and debt needs of Australian corporates through various stages of their lifecycle:
From high growth to trading downturns;
Different forms of ownership (smaller privately owned to the largest private and public companies); and
Varying macroeconomic and interest rate cycles (from the recessionary period in the early 1990s, the Global Financial Crisis, and the Covid impact).

Matthew Santoro
Principal
Matthew has 40 years of debt and capital management experience having worked for 20 years between Citibank and Deutsche Bank and for 20 years at KPMG’s and PwC’s debt & capital advisory teams, having established and led both of these teams.
Matthew has extensive experience across multiple industries having worked with many private and public companies, Government Business Enterprises (GBEs), and not-for-profit organisations.
Matthew’s experience covers refinancing (including the complete re-write of the debt terms to provide greater flexibility and less onerous covenants), acquisition financing, capex / organic growth financing, pre-IPO financing, receivables, and inventory financing, debt from institutional investors (including US Private Placement Investors), covenant amendment/waiver negotiations, establishing Common Terms Deed debt platforms, reviewing and establishing Capital Management Plans and Ratings Advisory.
Like Michael, Matthew is well-known and highly regarded within Australian banking circles and has spent a career in banking and debt advisory servicing the banking and debt needs of Australian corporates through various stages of their lifecycle and trading conditions.

Lena Miller
Senior Manager
Lena has over 15 years of debt advisory and broader corporate finance experience.
Until recently, she worked in PwC’s debt & capital advisory team and was one of the ‘foundation members’ of that team. Prior to joining PwC’s debt & capital advisory team in 2013, Lena held treasury function roles in the EMEA region and also worked in PwC Australia’s Corporate Value Advisory team.
Over the course of her career, Lena advised on A$12bn+ of debt raised (~50 engagements) for a wide range of listed, private, and Government entities, helping clients navigate complex deal processes and striving to achieve optimal funding solutions.
Lena’s experience includes all aspects of deal management and execution, including managing the planning phase (formulating a debt financing strategy, identifying prospective lenders, assistance with internal Board papers and discussions), as well as structuring and execution phases (including the preparation of information packages, lender presentations, term sheets and undertaking financial modelling and analysis).
